Another art-meets-couture spotting caught on camera.  These Karl Lagerfeld Bearbricks are on display here in SF at the Chanel store, Maiden Lane, Union Square.

  3. I was in Paris the very same day before the official launch of the season, and did similar pictures with my mobile during 2nd august 2006
    My comment: Similar marketing trying to catch back the influence that LVMH group strategy and Murakami, i am still not sure about his name, design was inaugurating few years ago. But Chanel look for what we named “produits derives” from their own designer, instead of looking for real artist. Ok karl is an artist, but it fit better to design for women. But eye catching shop windows anyway. Did it last? what about the marketing and brand impact related to it?

    Emily, Art must be somewhere else than in those shop windows, i am Almost sure about it.smile

    BTW> if you rememebered the overall windows, next to the posters were 7 to 8 plast dolls, looking like small army, meaning full eye blink from Karl transforming the famous Chanel Suit as the venerate expensive Uniform of luxury, may Besmile
