time for a change

It’s starting to get dark at 5 pm but that doesn’t mean things have slowed down.  A new artcodes design is underway and will launch soon.  Multiple web and digital projects are currently in the lab, brewing and stewing.

ritual

Tuesday, October 21, 2003

In a new effort to refocus on some personal work (vs. professional work, which I love, but it’s been an eight month, seventy hour a week obsession), I’ve decided to mark the end of the work day and the start of the art night by closing Arobat Reader, Word, Illustrator and Powerpoint, and opening the artcodes CP, Final Cut Pro, Flash MX, and Wildform Flix.  OK, I still have email open and I never shut Photoshop down…

Interview with the Zeldman

“In this society, we are bombarded by other people’s creativity from the moment we wake up. Radio, billboards, the way this year’s cars are designed, the way the street grid works in your city: it’s all grist for the mill. How can your brain not be continually churning and coming up with ideas? How can you ever feel creatively stuck?”

Zeldman talks about upcoming browsers among other things… read the interview .

Where have I been?

Sunday, October 12, 2003

Working online every waking hour.  Literally, from when I wake to when I go to bed.  I’m not gone, just busy.  Before I was busy, I was traveling.  But I’ll be back… soon, I hope.  And maybe I’ll even find the time to make new videos and images.  Wha?
